Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano Endorses Ann Kirkpatrick

Governor Janet Napolitano announced today her endorsement of Ann Kirkpatrick, candidate for Arizona's 1st Congressional District.

"Ann was one of the most vigorous, thoughtful and hard-working members of the Legislature," Napolitano said. "She was a constant champion for her community, and was a voice of reason during some of the biggest debates at the Capitol. Ann's sense of purpose, leadership skills and vision for a new direction are desperately needed in Washington."

"I am extremely honored to receive the endorsement of Governor Napolitano, who is a renowned problem-solver and strong leader," Kirkpatrick said. "During my time in the State Legislature, I was fortunate to work with the Governor on vital issues like creating voluntary full-day kindergarten, increasing teacher pay, and improving the quality of life for rural Arizonans.  With the support of Governor Napolitano and many others, I am ready to serve Arizona and change Washington."

"Ann Kirkpatrick has fought, and successfully won, battles to improve the lives of the people of Arizona," Napolitano said.  "She is needed in Washington, and I know she will be a strong advocate for Arizonans in the nation's capitol."
